In 2015, TFI heard about the Margaret Okari school and orphanage, and were inspired to support their good work. Their school was built in 2009, but their work with children orphaned by the AIDS pandemic started much earlier with one woman, who began taking in those children who had lost their parents. Children have all their basic needs provided for, and beyond that, are given the chance to life and leadership skills that they may use to build their own futures. They have become one of the top performing schools in the region despite lacking more modern facilities. Our hope is to see this community continue to grow and thrive.
